I work with special education kids.
Actually, not all of them are kids.
Some are older, some younger, or some the same age.
I can honestly say that I am the happiest when I am with them.
At first, I was selfish and I got easily freaked out by their mental issues but now I love them so much.
I am selfless, and I allow them do what they need to do freely.
Whether they want to hold my hand, Devin likes to race me, some scream, groan, twitch, etc. and that used to bother me until now.
About 2 weeks ago, two of the guys stopped playing their little basketball game to come give me dap and hug me.
I proceeded to put my bags down and my favorite boy, Devin, rolled himself to me so that I could unstrap him out of his wheelchair and he could walk around with me.
He had the biggest smile and was so anxious to be with me which in turn made me smile and realize how much I love those guys.
Today was Devin's birthday and I took a picture of him laughing while I tickled him.
:)
He is now my phone's screen saver.
