Oh, the irony.
If it were based on the gifts, this past Christmas would be the holiday I stopped believeing in Santa because he didn't come down my chimney, eat my cookies, and leave a plethora of presents under the tree.
In fact, we didn't even have a tree.
Christmas was dry, so was the turkey, and I quit eating pork so ham wasn't an option.
No gifts.
...until now.
About half an hour ago, a FedEx employee dropped of a package and it was a gift from my dad.
The man I don't see, don't hear from, don't receive essentials from...sent me a gift.
Yet from my immediate family, I receive nothing.
Oooh, the irony.
